Oluwaseun Ademefun (born in Akure, Nigeria, in 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist working across acrylic and oil painting, collage, and mixed media. Her practice centres on identity, migration, community, and sustainability, exploring how objects, materials, and shared making can hold and pass on cultural memory.

Of Yoruba heritage, Oluwaseun's work is shaped by cross-cultural exchange, moving between London and Lagos in both subject and practice. She often works with communities directly, using participatory making as a way of surfacing personal and collective stories.

She holds an MA (Merit) from Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, alongside an HND and Diploma from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos.

Oluwaseun's work has been shown at Espacio Gallery and includes Southwark Council mural commissions. Her exhibition credits also include Rethinking Rubbish and Roots & Routes at SET Woolwich (2024).

She was awarded the Art Hub Studios Free Studio Award in 2024.

Her work has been featured in Our Culture Magazine (reviewed by Tabish Khan, January 2026) and in The Guardian Nigeria. Her portrait appeared on the front cover of Tate Etc. (Issue 59, "Portraits of a Community", photographed by Ruth Ossai).

Alongside her art practice, Oluwaseun is a teacher and the co-founder and director of Crafted Mind Collective, a community interest company delivering participatory arts programmes rooted in identity, sustainability, and community storytelling.
